Our clients wanted to take advantage of this retreat’s theatrical backdrop for their personal art collection, which is located directly across from the prestigious Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.
YDC Design worked mindfully with the client’s passion for the arts and the dramatic setting that the location provides. While our desire was to create an experience that departed from the everyday, we still grounded the space with furnishings that are usable, approachable, and durable.
The pied-à-terre’s intense colors and combination of hand-carved custom furniture, custom mixed upholstery, and restored classics combine to create a delightful tableau influenced by both the art within the space and beyond its walls.
